We strive to redefine fitness by making the Megaformer the “gold standard” for full-body conditioning, fostering a community where everyone can achieve their personal best. Through continuous innovation, exceptional instruction, we aim to inspire lifelong wellness and empower our clients to live better, stronger, and healthier lives.


Our Story
Ashley Denryter, a lifelong dancer and fitness enthusiast, discovered her passion for health and wellness through her training in dance and gymnastics, which she later channeled into a career in Pilates. After attending Oakland University where she studied Health-Wellness and Dance, she became certified in Stott Pilates, Ashley sought a more dynamic workout that combined strength, flexibility, and cardio. Ashley became Lagree Fitness-certified by Sebastian Lagree, and trained across the country, including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Ashley loved the Megaformer workout so much, in fact, that she took a job teaching at a studio in Dallas.
Her discovery of the Lagree Fitness Method and the Megaformer M3 machine inspired her to bring this innovative approach back to her hometown, establishing RYB Lagree in 2014 as the first studio in Michigan offering this exclusive workout.
Ashley recognized the limitations of traditional Pilates, which often required separate cardio workouts, and chose the Megaformer to provide a complete solution for strength, endurance, and flexibility. Our group classes, capped at 10 participants, foster a motivating environment where clients can push their limits while receiving personalized guidance from our expert instructors.
At RYB Lagree we believe fitness should be transformative, inclusive, and empowering. Guided by the principles of "strengthen, tighten, tone," we deliver high-intensity, low-impact workouts that maximize results in just 50 minutes. Ashley’s vision is to create a sustainable fitness routine that trains both body and mind, using creative verbal and visual cues to make each session engaging and effective. Meet The Team


Ashley D.
Ashley D. is the Owner and Studio Director of RYB Lagree. She discovered her love of dance at an early age and has excelled at every type, as well as, gymnastics. It was after high school that she discovered a love of health and fitness, and began researching how to incorporate her love of dance and fitness into a career.
The Lagree Fitness Method with the Megaformer was the “workout” she had always wanted to share with her hometown. After being certified in Lagree Fitness, she taught in Dallas, with dreams of opening her own studio in Michigan. She is so excited to share the celebrity workout that numerous celebrities and professional athletes swear by.


James M.
James M., “Jimmy”, is a certified Lagree Fitness and Megaformer trainer. He has brought his outgoing personality and extensive dance and theater background to RYB Lagree.
James earned a full scholarship to the San Francisco Ballet, appearing in productions of “The Nutcracker” and “Sleeping Beauty.” He also earned full scholarships to Dancers’ Synectics and Lascu School of Ballet. He has taught at several area dance studios as well.
James also has appeared in several national stage productions, including “Splash,” “Bobby’s World” and “Power Rangers Live,” and in “Jubilee” at Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. He also traveled for 2 years around the world appearing in numerous stage and cruise shows. James is married, originally from Michigan, and has 4 children.


Cara M.
Cara began teaching at RYB in 2020 and is all about helping you feel strong and confident. After trying just one class in 2017, Cara was hooked on the intensity, shakes, and the full-body burn the Lagree method delivers. Cara’s favorite thing about Lagree is that you don’t plateau – there is always a way to challenge yourself and take exercises to the next level.
You can expect upbeat playlists, positive energy, and plenty of encouragement to push past your limits (with perfect form, of course). Whether it’s your first time on the Megaformer, or your hundredth, Cara will make sure you feel challenged and supported, and will always remind you to breathe.

Mandi D.
It was love at first shake at RYB Lagree for Mandi. She proceeded to take her practice and certification to the next level, wanting to give herself and her clients more.
“In my opinion, Lagree is a workout you can do for the rest of your life when done with good form and a slow and controlled pace,” Mandi said.
Expect a challenge in Mandi’s classes – because she loves one herself!
Mandi has been married for 27 years, and has two kids and a dog, Ted. She loves to travel and find Lagree classes wherever she goes. She loves any time spent with her family and friends, and traveling with her husband. She also loves music, the outdoors, shopping, coffee and treats – as well as Christmas!


Kellie H.
Kellie is a passionate and dynamic Lagree Level 1 Certified Instructor with a strong foundation in functional movement and body mechanics. She holds a 500-hour Comprehensive Pilates Certification and brings additional expertise through certifications in Women’s Fitness, Corrective Exercise, and Stretching & Flexibility.
Her teaching style combines the precision of Pilates with the intensity and efficiency of the Lagree Method, helping to empower clients to move with intention and push past perceived limits—safely and effectively.
Kellie believes that movement is a form of self-care and strength is built one controlled rep at a time. Whether you’re new to Lagree or a seasoned pro, you’ll leave her class feeling accomplished, energized, and inspired to come back stronger.
